Dubai Watch Week 2020 will be held online
Dubai Watch Week was founded in 2015 and has been held in London and Dubai, but this year the event will move online. Hosted by Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, the Largest watch retailer in the Middle East. Dubai Watch Week has traditionally been both a watch fair for consumers and collectors and a platform to spread knowledge of clocks and launch new wristwatches.
Although the outbreak has not abated, dubai Watch Week is still in a reasonable range of intensive preparations."Through this experience, we hope to achieve our primary goal of uniting the watch community and providing an educational platform," explained Hind Seddiqi, director of Watch Week Dubai.
In this year Dubai Watch Week will take the form of four panels that will be broadcast live online. The panel will cover not only familiar topics, such as the gray market for luxury watches, but also some interesting and intriguing topics. The panel, which included auctioneers, entrepreneurs and watchmakers, represented the breadth of the watchmaking industry.Participants included Edouard Meylan of Henry Moos, Stephen Forsey of Gobermouth, Aline Sylla-Walbaum, head of Christie's luxury department, and Christophe Nicaise, Seddiqi Holding's chief strategy and business development officer.And then there are watch collectors like Mishal Kanoo.He is a prominent uae businessman and head of the Kanoo Group.
